Wheelchair Distribution Ceremony in Şanlıurfa

Şanlıurfa İl Aile ve Sosyal Politikalar Müdürlüğü ve İstanbul Bedensel Engelliler Dayanışma Derneği işbirliğiyle ihtiyaç sahibi 42 engelliye akülü tekerlekli sandalye temin edildi.
Şanlıurfa Vali Yardımcısı Aylin Kırcı Duman, Büyükşehir Belediye Başkan Yardımcısı Ahmet Kaytan, Aile ve Sosyal Politikalar İl Müdürü Murat Demirkol, Büyükşehir Belediyesi Engelliler Daire Başkanı Habib İpar, Yönetim Kurulu Üyesi Sedat Düzgün Büyükşehir Belediyesi Mehmet Akif İnan Konferans Salonu'nda düzenlenen törene Bedensel Engelliler Dayanışma Derneği, engelliler ve aileleri katıldı.
Murat Demirkol, the Provincial Director of Family and Social Policies, made the opening speech of the program. Demirkol pointed out that the state's efforts in recent years towards citizens with disabilities, the elderly and the lower income group, stated that these activities were not carried out only by the hands of the state and that the contributions of NGOs should not be forgotten in these studies.
Demirkol stated that the participation and contribution to the social life of people with disabilities increase when they are given the chance, and pointing out the social projects aimed at people with disabilities, he said that each month 8 million grants are given to 10,800 families all around Şanlıurfa and the life of these people are improved with disabled aids provided every 3 months.
Sedat Düzgün, Board Member of Istanbul Solidarity Association for the Physically Disabled, said; “We’ve been delivering power-operated wheelchairs to people with disabilities who are in need all around Turkey. Our aim is to reintegrate them into community. I’d like to thank Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Policies for allowing us to be here in Şanlıurfa today.”
Aylin Kırcı Duman, Deputy Governor of Şanlıurfa, stated that awareness to people with disabilities of non-governmental organizations is increased day by that, and thanked Istanbul Solidarity Association for the Physically Disabled.
Konuşmaların ardından Şanlıurfa Aile ve Sosyal Politikalar İl Müdürü Murat Demirkol, İstanbul Bedensel Engelliler Dayanışma Derneği Genel Müdürü Kemal Demirel adına yönetim kurulu üyesi Sedat Düzgün'e plaket takdim etti ve ardından tekerlekli sandalye dağıtım töreni gerçekleştirildi.
